If you feel any resistance when trying the handles , refrain from forcing. A more gentle approach will be needed. Working the handles back and forth with small movements to begin with. With the doors and windows now open, good old WD40 is the next step. The trade has a tendency to use GT85 believing it to have superior properties. . Spray it on the hinges and mechanisms but not the barrel! Graphite is recommended for the barrel.
